Sound Designer and Composer for a Master’s in Game Design project by Jess Bradshaw.

Remember Me Knot was taken from conception to full MVP by a team of 4 designers! Patrick was responsible for:

  • Audio Asset List Creation and Maintenance

  • Sourcing of SFX/Foley for Gameplay and UI Elements

  • Composition of Music via Ableton Live, through MIDI.

  • Feedback Testing through external listeners.


The Doll House

Game and Puzzle Designer for a horror escape room theme at TRAPPED Mississauga.

The Doll House is the newest Escape Room Game at TRAPPED’s flagship Mississauga Venue. The theme boasts the highest difficulty of all games available at the venue. Areas of focus include:

  • GDD Maintenance

  • Systems Design and Asset List Creation

  • Milestone Check-ins and Scheduled Deliverables

  • Puzzle Drafting and Design

  • Paper Prototyping

  • QA and Testing of Implementation

  • Follow-up Adjustments and Fixes


 

Comics, Chaos, and Carnage

Game, Sound, and Narrative Designer for an interactive story-puzzle game for Mississauga Comic Expo (MCX) in November, 2024 at Hazel McCallion Central Library.

Comics, Chaos, and Carnage is an interactive puzzle game for children aged 8-12. This was hosted for MCX over the two day event! Design aspects included:

  • GDD Creation and Maintenance

  • Audio Asset List Creation and Maintenance

  • Audio Mixing and Generation of Music

  • Game Writing for Game Exposition pre-game time.

  • Modular Puzzle Design for Children

  • Difficulty Testing and Adjustment prior to Launch


 

The Queen’s Pawn

Game and Sound Designer for a puzzle platforming game involving chess pieces and restricted movement types.

The Queen’s Pawn was taken from conception to vertical slice as a part of a production and management class. Pat was involved in:

  • GDD Creation and Maintenance

  • Level and Puzzle Design

  • Production Documentation

  • Audio Asset List Creation and Maintenance

  • Music Editing using Reaper

  • Audio Generation of SFX

  • Implementation of Music and SFX using FMOD in Unity


Mini Monstrosities

Game and Sound Designer for a roguelike style game with a twist; the player character cannot fight for themselves.

Mini Monstrosities is the Capstone project for Pat’s 4th year at Sheridan College. He made the decision to use this project as a deep dive into music and audio composition and implementation. Areas of focus include:

  • Systems Design and Asset List Creation

Patient

Game, Sound, and Narrative Designer for an interactive story turned passion project about the recovery of an inpatient in a psychiatric ward.

Patient is an interactive fictional nonfiction tale based on true events in Pat’s life. This solo passion project involves:

  • GDD Creation and Maintenance

  • Programming in C#

  • Audio Asset List Creation and Maintenance

  • Dynamic Music Composition in Ableton Live

  • Implementation of Music and SFX using Wwise in Unity

  • Game Writing and Implementation using Yarn Spinner in Unity
